Accepting Marijuana and Hemp to Benefit the Entire World

March 26, 2010 – As science and technology continue to reveal the great benefits of marijuana from medical to commercial, countries like Canada report on making billions of dollars in the hemp industry, while medical marijuana sores to the top cash crop in California. Not only can this plant generate millions of dollars, but it can be used for thousands of illnesses and diseases. Funny thing is you can’t stop there, marijuana, or the hemp plant, could potential be used to remove the most pollution causing product on this planet, plastic.

New technology allows us to make plastic like substance out of 100% plant matter. In basic terms, this means that everything plastic on this planet could be replaced with hemp made products, cutting costs and the cause of SO much pollution, not to mention it would be completely compostable. You could literally recycle your water bottles to your compost pile. How is it that we could completely eliminate the use of plastic, the highest polluting product on the planet, by using plant matter and we have yet to utilize it. Companies like Sun Chips and Prima have started the movement, but why can’t we take it to the next level? Hemp is one of the most durable, strong, and useful plants out there, it’s a weed, it can grow just about anywhere. You could literally replace plastic with what I like to call, hemptastic.

Politicians, Presidents, and company CEO’s continue to shred the topic of pollution and global warming, to scare and profit, while when it comes down to it, they fail to do what’s right for the country. They are more concerned about dollars than global safety and environment. Basing their opinions on studies from the 70’s and outrageous claims. If you go about 40 years ahead of that hemp was the leading cash crop in America, that is until Cotton, Tobacco, Alcohol, and Plastic companies made it a point to eliminate that main competitor. Hemp is one of the most useful plants on the planet, being used for paper, rope, furniture, insulation, building materials (eliminating rainforest cutting and logging). If the planet focused on real world problems, eliminating the use of plastic, and using hemp for everything its worth, we could once again call ourselves a green planet.

I understand some new documents have come out explaining why our federal government still doesn’t support the legalization of marijuana. This is obviously a violation of our rights, considering marijuana is already legal in 30% of this country, when is the federal government going to respect the rights of the public? Have they forgotten with out the people they are nothing more than an old ignorant fool. I have read the claims made by the Drug Czar, and I have to be honest, I’ve gotten better debates out of a 3rd grader. QUOTE “The concern with marijuana is not born out of any culture-war mentality, but out of what the science tells us about the drug’s effects. And the science, though still evolving, is clear: marijuana use is harmful. It is associated with dependence, respiratory and mental illness, poor motor performance, and cognitive impairment, among other negative effects. We know that over 110,000 people who showed up voluntarily at treatment facilities in 2007 reported marijuana as their primary substance of abuse.

Additionally, in 2008 marijuana was involved in 375,000 emergency visits nationwide.” First off where are your studies buddy? You continue to claim negative things about marijuana yet; you haven’t listed a legit study since before the age of time. All those studies you rely on where government propaganda from the 70’s. Watch some National Geographic, they did a documentary on how you did this, suffocating chimpanzees to mimic the effect of brain cell loss. QUIT TRYING TO TRICK AMERICA. Second off, your government permits funding for any studies done to support the use of hemp or marijuana, quoted from several agencies, “We don’t fund issues that support the use of marijuana or hemp, only the ones that are against it.” It’s clear you are a very ignorant man and got to your current position based on your dad and a lot of work on your knees.

Third off, 435,000 people died in 2007 from tobacco use, yet tobacco is legal. 365,000 died in 2007 from poor diet and physical inactivity, yet it’s legal. (Do you see how ignorant you sound Drug Czar?) Alcohol killed 100,000 people, yet it’s still legal. Marijuana killed 0 people, yet it’s still ILLEGAL. You do the math, how does this make sense? It’s not like you can make paper out of alcohol, or make plastic out of tobacco, and you definitely can’t make medicine out of physical inactivity. America needs to wake up and realize they could be leading a revolutionary movement towards a greener planet, financially and environmentally. Source.
